Uploading your presentation

Presenting at PECERA 2021 Blended delivery conference

Please follow the instructions below for your presentation type:

Attending on-site in Wellington

(New Zealand delegates; Australian delegates choosing to travel using the quarantine-free travel bubble between New Zealand and Australia)

PowerPoint

Please ensure the setup is 16:9 widescreen

Concurrent paper presentations – 15 minutes plus 5 minutes Q&A

 Paper presentations are for a maximum of 15 minutes plus 5 minutes Q & A.

  • Please bring your presentation with you on a USB. You will need to ensure your presentation has been loaded in the room before your session starts.
  • All sessions will be live streamed and recorded to enable delegates to view the presentations following the conference (particularly for our international delegates)
  • Our session chairs will be managing the timing of each paper presentation carefully and will stop presenters once their time is up to allow the next presentation to start on time. This is particularly important for our international delegates to be able to access presentations online. 

Poster presentations – Portrait A0 size

You will need to bring your poster with you – size portrait A0.

  • On-site posters will be displayed throughout the conference.
  • The poster session will run from 5 – 6.30pm on Saturday 3rd July and you will be asked to stand by your poster during this time for attendees to view poster and talk to you

Attending Online

(International delegates)

Information will be provided on where to send presentations.

Please save presentations using the first 5 words of your abstract then your last name.

PowerPoint

Please ensure the setup is 16:9 widescreen

15 minutes plus 5 minutes Q & A

 You will need to provide a pre-recorded video presentation of between 12 - 15 minutes.

  • Your presentation must be in one of these formats –

For video size 1920x1080 (1080p) would be preferred but lower resolutions are okay too as long as the text is still readable.

They should be 16:9 ratio (landscape)

MP4 would be the preferred file type but Vimeo also accepts MP4, MOV, WMV, AVI, and FLV.

  • Please send your Presentation/s to us by 1st June to enable them to be uploaded into the conference portal – a link will be made available soon
  • You will be given access as a speaker to the online platform to answer questions during the concurrent session that your presentation is scheduled for (not live stream or face to face)
  • At the end of your presentation there will be the opportunity for a 5-minute Q&A session. This will take place via the platform – you will be answering questions on the platform (not live stream or face to face).
  • Presentations will automatically be stopped after 20 minutes to allow the next presentation to start on time 

Note: any presentations sent that are longer than 15 minutes will not be accepted

  

Poster presentations

You will need to provide a 2-minute powerpoint with voice over - click here for details   (please ensure when you play the powerpoint you turn up sound so you can hear information provided) 

  • Your poster presentation must be in a powerpoint (.pptx) and uploaded on the PECERA dropbox before 1st June
  • If you wish people to contact you to discuss your poster, please ensure you add your email to your powerpoint
  • Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a Q&A session after your powerpoint presentation via the platform

By accepting to present at PECERA 2021 you accept your presentation will be made available for attendees to view after the conference.
